IBQ sponsors Third Qatar International Business Women Forum ...

Held under the patronage of H. E. Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Qatar International Businesswomen Forum has rapidly gained a unique status as a major annual event in Qatar and the region in terms of volume and level of attendance, the relevance of the agenda's topics and debates, the quality and expertise of panelists and speakers.

This year's QIBWF will engage scores of informed opinion leaders in Qatar and beyond, about the prevailing economic scene in the region against a turbulent economic backdrop. The forum is also expected to attract wide participation from senior officials, business leaders, financiers, economists, specialists, as well as representatives of civil society, NGOs, and women leaders in business and other professions and activities.

Mrs. Aisha Alfardan, Vice Chairperson of the Qatar Businesswomen Association said: "The QIBWF in its third consecutive season will cast the light on the perspective on the "post-revolutions" of the Arab economy. The event will also explore the challenges facing Arab businesswomen during this sensitive and uncertain transitional period.

Mr. Raed Chehaib, Chief Operating Officer of Interactive Business Network explained that the third Forum will be the largest ever, as the number of delegates is expected to exceed 800, with important delegations coming from all the GCC countries as well as many Arab countries, as well as the America's Western Europe and Russia and Australia. He also characterized the forum as perhaps the most important in terms of the distinguished group of speakers taking part, including officials and policy makers, business leaders of both genders, representatives of international and regional women's organizations and NGOs, and many others.
