From WNBC:
Lindsay Lohan was assaulted in her Manhattan hotel room early Sunday morning by a man she met at a night club, police sources said.
According to law enforcement officials, Lohan told police she got into an argument with a 25-year-old man she brought to her room after meeting him at 1 Oak in Chelsea.
The details of the legal situation remain unclear, though what's notable is that the 25-year old is reportedly a Congressional aide.
Here's WNBC's take...
Police have identified the man as Christian LaBella of California. He was?charged with third-degree assault and harassment. In police paperwork, LaBella listed his employer's work phone as the Washington?offices of Rep. John Shimkus, R-Ill.
The Daily News, however, reports...
Cops say Lohan took Christian LaBella?s cellphone so she could delete pictures of her partying ? and he got physical with her trying to get it back.
After Lohan called the cops, LaBella was initially charged with misdemeanor assault for Sunday?s blowup at the W Hotel Union Square.
But law enforcement sources said the assault rap will be dropped ? and LaBella, 25, and Lohan, 26, will both be hit with low-level harassment violations.
