Vegetarianism

I've been mostly veggie since New Years, though I have been so on and off since my second year of university, partially for health, and partially to save money. I still tend to eat meat if I go out to eat, but at home I stick to vegetarian food and I don't tend to struggle with it. After a while I start to lose my taste for meat. I was offered steak yesterday and turned it down. Just felt put off.

I'm not a strict veggie, so some things might contain animal ingredients, but I'll share what's worked for me.

A few good things to try:

-Feta cheese: Great for sandwiches, considerably different from cheddar.

-Glamorgan sausages: A veggie sausage with leek, potato and cheese. I love these. They takes ages to cook, but are delicious when they're done.

- Veggie Chilli: I make it with quorn mince, though I'm sure vegetables could be used for it. I tend to cook that and some jarred chilli sauce on a low heat for a while, cook some potato wedges, and pour the chilli over those in an oven dish. I then apply some cheese and tortilla chips, before cooking in the oven. Feeds about four people, or keeps for a couple of days. Really nice whether you're veggie or not.

I've also been experimenting. I've developed a nice veggie friendly bolognese sauce, though it needs tweaking as its kinda dry.

My next project is meatless chicken nuggets.
